100 Pushups - Week 2 Day 1 (2nd pass)

Well, after having a heaping helping of Life lately, I figured I'd start back at week 2 again, which was tough for me but not too tough. Today at lunch, I did 12, 12, 9, 7, and maxed at 20. It was tiring, but wasn't too bad. I think I would have had a very tough time if I would have tried to jump right back in at week 3.

I've been eating restaurant food for most of the last 3 weeks, and I'm feeling blah. I am hoping that I can get back into the groove of an exercise routine and start getting some energy again.

Restaurant food really is a challenge for me. I always go in with the best of intentions, planning to eat a healthful salad with no dressing.

By the time I start adding stuff, like a fried appetizer, croutons, breadsticks, and a big dessert, I would have saved a lot of money (and consumed a lot fewer calories) if I had just gone to McDonald's for a Big Mac.

My problem is that for one of those weeks, I was on business travel and I have a hard time *not* spending the full per diem...on dessert. I've got a pretty high metabolism, so I've been able to get away with that since forever, but I suspect that my internal furnace may cool down some in the next 5-10 years. If it ever does, I'll be hurtin' for certain unless I change my relationship with sugary food.
